COMPOSITION
Each 1 gm. contains:
Amoxicillin (Trihydrate) 500 mg.
PROPERTIES
Amoxicillin belongs to Penicillin group of antibiotics, a bactericidal broad spectrum on both gram +ve and –ve bacteria. It is well absorbed following administration by mouth more than Ampicillin and gives higher plasma & tissue concentrations. Its absorption is less affected by the presence of food in the stomach.
INDICATIONS
Amoxicillin 50 is indicated in most bacterial infections; E.Coli, Salmonella, Staph. Spp., Strep. Spp., Pasteurella, Clostridia & Listeria.
DOSAGE
Poultry: 100 gm/500 liters of drinking water for 5 days.
Sheep & Goat: 1-4 gm/ Animal twice daily for 5 days.
Calves & Foals: 2-4 gm / Animal twice daily for 5 days.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Sheep, Goat, Calves and Foals: (Meat): 8 days.
Poultry: 3 days.
