Candidiasis is a common fungal infection that can cause inflammation and discomfort in the mouth and crop of falcons. Raptors affected with candidiasis generally demonstrate clinical signs including reduced appetite, shredding, and flicking of food, regurgitation, and progressive weight loss.

Predisposing factors, such as immunosuppression, stress, and prolonged use of antibiotics, can trigger a candidiasis outbreak.

Falcon Candazole has been formulated to provide a fast-acting treatment for this disease. Candazole contains the active ingredient Fluconazole, which works by interfering with the cell wall of candida fungi, effectively killing, and inhibiting the growth of the organism. The tablets work systemically meaning that you do not need to apply any topical treatments. Candazole affectively treats infection within 12 days.

Directions For Use :

Give 1 tablet per kg body weight – given once every 48 hours for 12 days.

Use only as directed: Falcon Candazole is intended for the treatment of oral Candidiasis in falcons. Use only as directed by a veterinarian, and do not exceed the recommended dosage. Complete the entire course of treatment using the dosage instructions above unless specifically directed by your veterinarian, as indiscriminate use of the product could contribute to the development of fungal resistance.
